Raising The Standard
After spending many years in the live entertainment industry, we couldn’t overlook the inefficiencies that were impeding progress. Skilled crews are the backbone of all live events, but a lack of quality training holds teams back. We started our initiative to give new stagehands the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed, while helping employers efficiently build safer, more capable crews. Our mission is to standardize stagehand training, create accessible resources, and raise the bar for professionalism and safety across the board.
Workforce Challenges
The live entertainment industry faces unique staffing challenges, including seasonal surges of new hires, high turnover, limited training materials, and time constraints. Untrained stagehands can put themselves and anyone else working the gig at risk of injury. Productions expect capable stagehands, and untrained crews often leave the client disappointed. Training new stagehands is difficult when employers lack access to time, space, quality materials, or equipment to train with. To overcome these issues, employers need a streamlined approach that builds skilled, reliable, and safe crews.
Standardized Training At Scale
Our goal is to put an end to stagehands working on gigs without any training, by providing an efficient onboarding tool that gets new hires up to speed before their first call. Our courses are accessible from anywhere, allowing employees to learn on their own schedule without the need for coordinating group meetings, training leads, or additional costs. Every trainee receives the same, consistent information. With this, any in-person training or on-the-job learning becomes far more productive when they already understand the fundamentals. Progress is trackable and verifiable, giving employers insight into who is ready for each call. Above all, we are committed to empowering the next generation of stagehands, and raising the standard for professionalism and performance across every show.
